Common Event Planning Mistakes to Avoid
Most event problems are predictable, and most are preventable.

After many events, the same patterns appear. Here are the ones worth knowing about before you begin.
Booking before deciding
Putting down a deposit before the budget, date and guest count are settled tends to lock in choices you later regret.
Underestimating the schedule on the day
Everything takes longer than planned. Build the run of show with realistic transitions, and share it with everyone involved.
Leaving communication loose
Keep one shared document with contacts, agreements and deadlines. Details scattered across messages and emails are where things get lost.
Trying to do everything yourself
Delegate clearly where you can, and ask for guidance where you cannot. Good advice at the right moment is often the cheapest fix available.
